So I haven’t posted any updates on the project in over a year…there are many excuses involving newborn babies and PhD programs, but let’s not worry about that.
I just sampled the greenhouse for the third time which means we’re 3/4 done with the project. Hard to believe we began to set it up two years ago! (https://brownshvac.net/) Its going really well. I’ve created a mountain of samples which we’re slowly processing to make libraries for sequencing. The Pardue lab has been awesome about working through the mountain of samples we’ve given them, and we’ve found that the plants and microbes do seem to be effecting the oil! I’ll save the details for another post though.
